Family Historian Software Review
One of my favorite hobbies is working on my family tree. I want to know all about the lives of my ancestors and where they came from. I also want to have a complete family tree to share with my siblings along with my children and grandchildren. Not surprisingly, I need software that helps me organize all of the materials involved in my research. Recently, I took a closer look at Family Historian software. Here are some of the pros and cons of this product.

The Pros of Family Historian Software

One of the things I like about this software is that it’s easy to use. If I want to record an important piece of information or add a relative’s profile to my research it can be done with one or two clicks of the mouse. Also, there is a screen that allows me to look at all of the information I’ve collected. This makes it easy to get a handle on what part of the tree I need to focus on next. I appreciate the ability to place images beside the relatives on my family tree. I have some black and white photographs of distant relatives along with full color digital photos of my children and grandchildren. I was able to choose a design for my family tree that meets my unique needs.

The Cons of Family Historian Software

One of the downsides of Family Historian software is the lack of templates available to use as a background for my tree. Instead of a plain background, I would prefer some light color or maybe some subtle artwork. It would add even more interest to my tree. Another drawback of this software is that it takes a little bit of time to learn about all of the features that are available. But, becoming familiar with all of the features can help you in the effort to make your family tree complete and accurate.

Finally, the latest Family Historian software is available for around $45.00 to $50.00. The company offers shoppers a free 30 day trial to test out the features of this software. For anyone who is still undecided, I suggest taking advantage of the free 30 day trial so you have the opportunity to explore the software for yourself.
